Newquay nightlife help?! (Cornwall)?

Hey there. Im off to newquay this summer (in about 2 weeks) and i was wondering what there was to do there, how good the beaches are, what kinnda people are there, and most importantly about what clubs there are there.

Im 17, look about 19 and have been getting into raves and pubs sinse i was 15. Wandering what newquay is like with ID, "underage" drinking n that. What clubs are easy to get into? That kinnda thing.

i live in newquay and i can assure you that you will not get into any of the clubs...if you look remotely young you will be asked for i.d.....even the bars during the day have door staff....the police, businesses, local people have all joined together in clamping down on drunken behaviour etc....there is a strict no drinking policy in the streets and all nightclubs are very strict on who they let in....however some of the clubs do have under eighteen nights!!!!!

The beaches are amazing, stunning & spectacular...my personal favourite is fistral beach which i live next to...but you have a choice of many other beaches.

Expect the town to be very, very, very busy.

there is a few clubs but i gotta say we are really tough down here so i dont rate your chances on having a drink or anything

Newquay has become notorious for underage drinkers, and there has been a BIG clampdown recently. The police are out in force, every weekend, and fake I.D. cards are no longer fooling anyone. Bouncers and doormen are like the military, and I doubt very much if you stand a chance of being let in.

We are NOT stupid here in Cornwall, although many people think we are, and despite the fact that you will be on holiday, general rules apply. Underage drinking is against the law, and it's not only YOU who stands to be prosecuted, someone's job is on the line, and bartenders and bar staff face prosecution too.

I work in a supermarket in Cornwall, and we have been issued with equiptment to find fake I.D. cards, and they are very effective. NO-ONE gets served alcohol, or tobacco, unless they can prove they are 18. so be warned.

You are likely to get caught for underage drinking in Newquay! and please don't wear one of those annoying hoodies with Newquay lifeguard on them because they might be banning them yeyyyyyyyyyyy! Bloody annoying things!
