Night life in Scotland.?

Question

My best friend and I are going to Scotland the beginning of August for 9 days. We'll be traveling through Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow. I'm from California and have never been anywhere besides Vegas...so huge culture shock it'll be!! ANy suggestions on what to do...attractions, nightlife, clubs, bars?? I wanna be around hot young Scotsmen;-)

In Glasgow I would recommend

Subclub - on a sunday night it is awesome  (every night actually)

The arches

ABC

The Buff Club

Sounhaus

Just dont go to the Garage! It is rubbish!

edit : don't go to jumpin jaks! It is full of middle aged hopeless plebs!

The bars in Scotland are amazing - watch out though as our beer is stronger than yours and our pints are bigger!

Time Out has a good nightlife section for Edinburgh  http://www.timeout.com/travel/edinburgh but the best thing is to pick up the local newspaper when you get to all these places.

Asking the bar person / any friendly looking locals where to go is the best way to get recommendations - and to meet people!

Angels and snafu are pretty popular in aberdeen. Jumping Jaks in Aberdeen is brilliant! I always go there when I'm in Aberdeen. I think they have ones in Dundee and Glasgow too. Edinburgh probably has the most to do with the dungeons, castle, eye, zoo etc. Good luck, hope you have fun!
