In the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, a lever- action repeating rifle is used several times throughout the movie. What model rifle is this and who makes it?

  1. It's a Henry or more likely a replica

In the picture notice the brass receiver and lack of fore grip or forward hand guard

It's not a GoldenBoy or BigBoy, those are based Winchester products (although designed by Henry)

The gun in the above photo is of  the original Henry Rifle

Notice the difference of the two rifles in this photo

The girl here is holding a Henry and there's a GoldenBoy in the background

And notice the similarities between what they are both holding

Most distinctly the lack of a forward handguard

You will also notice that there is no loading gate on the guns that the girls are holding as there is on the Golden Boy on the wall

  2. Check out Henry Repeating Arms Co.

    Made in America.

    Goldenboy & Bigboy series.

The quality of the Henry,  is first rate.

  3. In the orginal one of the characters used an 1894 Winchester.  It could have been an 1892 (which holds more ammo in a smaller, 'revolver' caliber) but in any case it was a Winchester Lever-Action.  I haven't seen the remake but the two previous posters are probably correct.  From previous postings Vangion seems to know his stuff.
