  1. yes

  2. Off a good hit done deal you win

  3. Since you don't have to call any ball everything counts as long as you made a legal shot. Yes, you just won the game if you combo the 9.

  4. Yes the game is over Rackem

  5. Here again it comes down to the rules that you are playing by.....in what is called "Texas Express Rules" the game is over anytime that you contact the object ball first and then knock the 9 in....even if you did not mean to.....some places/houses/tournament may make it or require a "call shot" for it to count......I prefer '9 ball last ball in".....different rules by different folks.....so set them before you start.......to me, yes you win!

  6. good point

  7. In nine ball you can ether play the game throw and hit the balls in order or try to hit the ball that you have to hit into the nine ball and that means you won.

  8. Nine ball is played in "rotation" style; 1, 2, 3....At any time in the game if you make the nine ball after striking one of the object balls, AND have called the shot, you win.  Game over.

  9. You hit the object ball, object ball hits nine ball, nine ball is potted, cue ball stays on the table..... you win...

p.s. pockets dont have to be called in nine ball

  10. yes as long as you hit the ball you're supposed to hit first

  11. Actually, in nine ball, shots do not have to be called

  12. Again... it depends on which house you are playing in and what their rules are. In 99% tournaments... yes... you win... as long as you hit the lowest numbered ball first... you don't have to call the pocket... and anything goes.

  13. You've already had a few correct answers; as long as the cue ball hits the lowest-numbered ball on the table first, a pocketed nine wins the game (it doesn't have to be called). However, if the lowest-numbered ball isn't struck first (or if the shooter scratches), the nine-ball gets spotted and the other player takes ball in hand anywhere on the table (game not over yet).

  14. Yes, as long as the first ball contacted by the cue ball is the lowest numbered ball on the table.

Nine-ball is also not a call shot game, as the game can be won on the break if the 9-ball is pocketed. Also, because it is played numerically, the shot is basically already called, as the combination must involve the lowest numbered ball.
