Nintendo DS hinge defect?

Question

I was playing with my DS and suddenly my hinge got a crack in it! I think it might be that defect that's going around when they tighten it too much so i think I need to contact nintendo to get it fixed or replaced, but how!? I never done this before so please tell me what to do. I really need some help please...

If your using NDS Lite and you have a plastic housing and hinge issues such as a cracked hinge, contact Nintendo's Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700 so that they may provide you with repair options.
