Nintendo Wii (please help)?

Question

I have a wii I love to play it.

But it turns out that a hurricane is about to hit my city on wednesday and maybe knock my power out.

So I was wondering...

1. What do you call those screens that you attach to the wii and it lets you play wii games.

2. How does that thing work, does it need batteries or something?

3. How much does it cost?

4. Would I be better off buying a DS or PSP?

5. Any other suggestions?

I would probably just pack the Wii away for that time, or play it when the weather is calm. You don't want to risk damage to the Wii. I would buy a Nintendo DS, as they have many great games.
