Question:

Nipple piercing won't heal...?

I took my 5 year old nipple piercing out more than a year ago. while piereced I NEVER had a single problem with this.

Since I took it out it has not healed. I know I will always have two little baby holes in my nipple, but when I squeeze it, a tiny bit of white pus will come out. I have tried cleaning regulary and what not but nothing seems to work?!

It is never red or sore, but is the white pus is a sign of infection? It never seems to be better or worse.

I tryed about 4 months ago to put a smaller bar in, hoping to clean out the inside, needless to say I couldn't get it though, I guessing because I left it without one for so long.

Does anyone have any ideas, surely it shouldn't take over a year to heal?

  1. nipple piercings are bad about that.  When you took out the piercing you probably had some left over stuff in there from everyday wear.  That stuff gets trapped in there and grows bacteria witch can cause an infection.  You may need to see a doctor for antibiotics.  It is a good idea to keep piercings clean even after they are healed.

  2. White puss doesn't SOUND like an infection, but I would go to a piercer and let them take a look at it, because it shouldn't still be oozing anything after a year.
