my advent t12 was bought with pre-installed programs. one day it worked the next i had a disk boot faliure. i have tried the recovery disks but at 4% a msg tells me that @i386lang@ cannot be recovered. the disk was taken to pcworld where it was polished but on reading the data the same problem still occurs. At the moment i am using ubuntu 7.04 but this is now out of date as of 20th this mnth. other prob now is i dont seem to be able to download and install the latest version. when the comp reboots and i press f1 it takes me to BIOS it shows my pioneer dvd rw device and other cd/dvd drawer it also had WD (hard drive) as master. All others are NONE thats slave, master, slave. i have tried booting by fail-safe which is either corrupt or no OS and i have tried the optimized setup this gives me the master boot faliure. The computer wont boot into safe-mode.
