Nokia 7610 switching off

Question

My Nokia 7610 switched off suddenly one day while it was fully charged. Subsequent attempts to switch on met with a delayed start and switch off within few seconds of the OS attempting to load itself. I love my mobile (around 3 yrs old), recently changed its battery and body and would appreciate if some one could help me retain it.
