Question:

Non-Gambling Vegas Things to Do?

Ok, my Vegas trip is finally sorted out, now I've got another problem. I hate gambling!! What other fun things are there to do in Vegas besides gambling?

Are there any great murder mystery shows that anyone has been to?

What about other touristy things, like museums and such?

Any other weird things -- ghost tours, mob tours, anything like that?

Has anyone out there ever done a non-traditional Vegas trip?

Usually I just sit at the penny slots the whole time I am there, but I'd like to get out and see some fun things, and do some fun things, while everyone else is throwing away their money!

Thanks!

  1. You will never be bored in Las Vegas. Not only is it affordable, and very luxurious but full of activities. You don't have to gamble or have a lot of money to have a great time.

Here is a list of things to do.

    http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/things-to...

Remember to see the Bellagio fountains and Fremont street at night.

All I can say is Vegas Baby!!

  2. The Houver Dam is a pretty interesting site if you like to see things like that. They have a few hours trips that take you there.

You can also take a day trip to The Grand Canyon, its about a full 24 hours though with travel I believe.

I saw O (Cirque du Soleil) and I saw Zumanity. both very good shows

    !

There is alot to see and do though without gambling so don't worry about that at all.

  3. Variety of shows, shop till you drop, walk the strip at night, visit museums, lazy-on at the pool with your favorite drink, nightclubs galore.

  4. Why Dont You Try

    1. Celebrity wax museum(near Venetian hotel)

    2. David Copperfield magic illusionist show(MGM)

    3. The Pirate Show( Treasure Island)

    4. The Forum Shops( Huge mall inside Caesars Palace)

    5. Gondola ride( Venetian)

  5. I often spend my entire trip shooting photos. I have over 3,000 of them posted at http://www.urbanphotos.net

Just sitting at a casino bar drinking coffee (or whatever) and watching the tourists and gamblers can be fun.

Area 51 is near Las Vegas: http://www.dreamlandresort.com/index_en....

    Red Rock Canyon http://www.redrockcanyonlv.org/

    Lake Mead: http://www.riverlakes.com/lakemead.htm

  6. You can shop!!!!

You can also go for a walk down the strip!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. This website will tell you almost anything you need to know.

    http://www.vegas.com/

tours, dining, golf, weddings, spas, attractions, nightlife, etc.

You can also look up each of the hotel websites and they should have either a "things to do" tab, or an "entertainment" tab or something along those lines.  If you click on it, it will tell you what that hotel has to offer for fun.

    http://smartervegas.com/shows.aspx

This site will give you discounted show tickets and has a list of all the great shows.  Anything by Cirque Du Soleil will be good, plus the Blue Man Group, and if you want something laid back, try Tournament of Kings at Excalibur.

  8. There are so many things to do!  You can get a lot of ideas from Best of Vegas at http://www.bestofvegas.com/articles/Teen...

    Have fun!
