Norwegian Cruises?

Who has cruised Hawaii on NCL? Do they have a mature age group, or mainly families?

If you decide to take this cruise during the major school breaks you will typically run into many families.  

NCL's service on this route does not compare to its service on other routes.  So if you are a latitudes member please prepare yourself for that.

It depends on the time of year and length of cruise.  

If you go when families have school holidays (especially summer and Christmas) you will find more kids.  If you go when kids are in school, you will find an older demographic.

Longer cruises -- anything more than 7 days -- are also typically older, because few working people can take so much time off.

My husband and I went on the NCL cruise around Hawaii a couple of years ago.  I saw only a small amount of families.  The rest of the passengers were a mixture of ages.  W e had a wonderful time.  The cruise way not formal.  We could eat where ever we wanted whenever we wanted.  And could dress whatever way we wanted.  There is no gambling on their cruises because you do not go into international waters very long.  You only go into international waters when you go to NCL's Island for the day.  My husband enjoyed the island the most.  He wanted to stay.  It is not a developed island.  NCL has build some facilities, bathroom etc.  for when they dock.  It was a great day, swimming and eating and relaxing.  My husband and some other family members rented bicycles and toured the island.  It wasn't very big.  Huts, a jail that was no longer in use.  The natives sold odds and ends while we were there.  I hope you enjoy your cruise.
