  1. How come Norwegian?  its hard to find.

  2. Hi, try nortana.net for resources.  That's the official organization of Norwegian teachers in the US.  You could try online bookstores (or university bookstores, like Univ. of MN, Univ. of Washington, Luther College) for children's educational materials.  Oftentimes, scandinavian gift shops (can be found predominantly in the midwest, but also in Seattle (in Ballard)) have coloring books, simple children's books & videos aimed at Norwegian language instruction.  There are numerous online resources, but none that would be as visually appealing to a four year old (or on an appropriate level of difficulty).  NorWord is a daily e-mail program that comes to mind.

Another option, is watching cartoons on TV2.no's website.  You have to register, I think, to be able to watch their video clips, but the clips are high quality.  Look for "barnetv".  A last resort could also be youtube.

    Good luck!
