going to quit selling peanuts due to peanut allergy fans, should the song be changed to "buy me some rice cakes and cracker jacks"?? What next, no beer because someone may be an alcoholic?

Its only 2 seating sections where peanuts aren't allowed. 99% of the ballpark are still going to serve peanuts or allow you to bring your own.

Maybe they can have one of those shouting match cheering contests, where those two "peanut free zones" sing it your way (rice cakes), the rest of the stadium sings it the traditional way, and whichever section is loudest wins free peanuts or rice cakes.

It's really not a bad idea. People with severe allergies can die just from inhaling peanut 'dust'.

There's a big difference between someone being born with an allergy and an alcoholic.

Peanut allergies is a serious thing, it's not just a whim.  It's not like they offend someone.  They could cause serious reaction, even death.  Then, of course , is the fact that every ballpark has sold them forever and I never heard of such an incident.

Maintaining a peanut free zone sounds good, but I don't know if it would really work from the one with the allergy as they are supposed to be hypersensitive.

No its just certain zones

I remember when I was a kind there was a regular lunch line and a peanut free lunch line

we were served different foods

the peanut vendors will only sell peanuts and walk around with peanuts in the peanut acceptable zone
