You know how there are some coin comoanies out there that sell coins at a really low price for new customers only? Well, I'm looking for some of those. I saw an interesting one in the June 9 issue of the Coin World magazine for Palisades Coin Company. They were offering a standing liberty quarter for 4 bucks-no shipping too.

lots of standing liberty quarters have no date. it was to high and wore off fast. in 1925-1930 the date was improved to wear better. Chance's of this being a dateless quarter are high, and only worth silver value.

Coin World has very strict advertising policies. You will most of the time have no problems with the advertisers or if you do Coin World helps you out if need be. You must read the fine print in the ads and it also pays to do ones homework on the coins being offered. In coin collecting ones gets what he pays for, a Standing Liberty quarter for $4 has to be a low grade and a common date. It is best to save up a little more and get one that is a little scarcer in the date department and a better grade. If one want just an example to look at, or have as a start out coin, then be my guest but keep in mind its value may not go up much in your lifetime. A good thing is to go to some coin dealers and look around for deals they have and you get to see the coin before you give him the cash. Coin collecting is a learning process so you do need to try things.

Palisades coins have been around for years, even when my dad was young. The first deal they offer is at cost to get you as an approval customer and then send you a monthly allotment of higher priced coins to look at or purchase

The silver liberty is worth more than 4 dollars but having you as a potential customer is worth the expense to the company
