OMg please help!?

I have a Minolta STsi MAXXUM 35-80mm, silver and it doesn't work. I have a new battery and everything! is the something i could do?

Some auto-focus 35 mm cameras functions will not work until it has film in them.  The meter should work, as should the auto-focus, but the shutter release, no.

Take your camera in to a camera store (not an electronics store) and have the help you "load" the film ... they will usually check the camera for other problems and will help you decide what to do

you put the batteries in backwards.

Other than that take it to a camera shop... listen to the camera guy.
