  1. Not that it's an odd name, but it's odd why they named him this. Dakota, named after the truck. The other choice was Harley.

  2. I know of a set of twins older ladies named

    Lovey & Dovey

and my soon to be x had a great aunt named

well impolite not : cat nor kitty but begins with P ends with Y

    now those are odd

oh I have an uncle his middle name is Odon

  3. Had one named Icey Ann. I'll let you guess the last name.

  4. my great grandmother's name was rovilla utzler

    pretty odd

  5. Orville, Ira (male), Leora,  Belle, Geralda, Loren (male), the middle name "Brown" occurs in a male in several generations - no one knows how it started,  Gory (male).

I have a friend whose aunts were Ruby, Pearl and Opal.  No kidding.

  6. My name is Jesus.  Pronounced heh-SOOS (capitals to show where stress should be).

I was named after my grandfathers; my dad's father being Jesus and my mom's father being Andres (my middle name).  In English it means Jesus Andrew.

I have a grandfather, an uncle, and 4 cousins with the same name of Jesus.

  7. My grandmother named her first born - Doris Uldine - and I have asked my Aunt Doris where her middle name came from, but she has no idea.  Unfortunately, I didn't ask my grandmother and it's too late.  I also have an Aunt Gwenllian. Apparently, that's Welsh and my Grandmother got it from a book. I also have a Great Aunt Laurabelle Pearl who was called Peg.

  8. my uncles  name is  MIKE HUNT, he gets the mick taken out of him a lot

  9. Wilmot and Wilmet - for a woman

Gatherude (which I guess is a version of Gertrude)

  10. I wouldn't say Martin is odd.  It's fairly common in the English speaking world (my brother-in-law for one).

Nowadays it's difficult to judge 'odd' names thanks to the plethora of ridiculous choices people seem to make when choosing their child's name.  Just look at any celebrity newborn.

In terms of my family, nothing really bizarre - a few Gregor McGregors and things like that.

Just found a Clement Ramshare (female) which I think has a certain ring to it...
