Off to LA!?

Depends where you are going, how old you are, and how long.  But generally

A suit that can be broken into it's components (and then you won't need a coat)

A knit dress

2 tshirts

a blouse

a pair of slacks

2 shorts, or short/skirt

a pair of jeans

Make sure the colors co-ordinate, and you will have 2 weeks of looks, no problem

3bras  (more if you sweat a lot)

5 panties

2 bathing suits

2 wraps/cloth to lie on the beach on

Remember, it is LA, and there is lots of good shopping, so don't pack too much unless you will not be doing any shopping

Well it really depends on why you are going there. But definitley a swim suit so you can hit the beach for some relaxation :)
