Well, this doesn't belong in the running category, lol...but I'd be glad to help anyway:) If you think you're better off as friends, you need to break it off immediately. You shouldn't lead him on thinking you like him; this will only hurt him more in the long run. End it nicely, and make it clear that you want to continue being friends and hope that your breakup will not affect your friendship. Since he probably likes you while you don't, you should wait a while before dating anyone else. He is your friend, and his feelings should come before all else. Good luck:)
