  1. Just bring your noseplugs and prepare to be insulted and treated like a piece of c**p, then you'll do just fine.

  2. Hi , I m french and leave near from Paris , I have studies Tourism, so if you want I can show you, who are in my opinion the best part of this city...  For the rest of the country I just have my experience from my studies. So it's depend where you want to go in France. They are quiet a lot of things you don't have to miss...

  3. That's a vast question.

I'd say everything in america is larger (cars, buildings, hamburgers, everything) and that litterature and language is more important in France than in the US. It's a short answer, I know.

Maybe you can have a look at the following book in your local library: "Sixty Million Frenchmen Can't Be Wrong". It got good reviews.

I wish you a great stay and hope you'll enjoy it !

  4. I´m French.... there are too many things to say about France in just one question...

in which fields do you want to have some piece of information ?

  5. well im french and the first thing i say to foreign people who want to go in france is "Never go to Paris, even if paris is nice".

People in paris are agressive, they are everytime angry, they are not friendly, but in the rest of france  people will welcome u, they are friendly, i live in burgund ( so in he east) where there is a lot of good wine, its very beautiful.

in the south of france it's always sunny and  good temperature. You will see everything in france is different from usa, cars, houses, roads, you will discover how french administration is boring and will make you crazy. you will eat maybe better than in usa, because i have been in usa one time and i remember that u didnt eat so much bread whereas here in france we eat bread everytime. Another difference that u will see is that most of french people never eat in the morning but eat a lot at 12:00. but i think the best way to discover the french way to live is to live with french people. if u want more information about what to visit in france, where to go, then u can write me at   philand71@yahoo.com, i love talking with american people because i love this country, so we could compare a lot of thing.

    bye

  6. I'm french, and I live in Paris.

I can tell you all what you want ?? But ask me questions, you can write me in private if you want, because I don't know what you need ?

Where will you go ? In which town will you come? What are you doing ?

Do you need to find a flat to rent ?

I know a young canadian man who came for one year in Paris. The most difficult for him was to understand all the administratives things to do, because, we french are sometimes a little bit difficult with that. But after a couple of weeks everything went in order for him....but he was able to speak french....

If you come for one year, maybe don't take with you too many things, you will buy in France....

And remember France will appear to you very small probably !

  7. I am from France...but if you want to learn things about France, read this,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France

And things about french people, read this :

    http://gofrance.about.com/od/culture/tp/...

Then come and visit and you will make your own opinion about it...

As far as I am concerned I love France, even if I think that it was a much nicer place where to live before Sarkozy was elected....Another fact about French people : they love to talk about politic!
