I have a 3iron that is a ben sayers with the no. 1733 stamped on it. how do I find out what I have?

You might have quite a prize depending on how old it is.  Ben Sayers clubs were the premier hand forged clubs from Scotland in the early days.  After old Ben died his son and then his daughter or grandaughter (Doreen) carried on the business for quite awhile, but in the 1970s they sold their interests in the company and the clubs have been mass produced in Asia since then.  He was the maker of clubs for many Kings and Royalty around the world.  Check out their website which I believe is BenSayersGolf.com and then try to contact them directly to see what they might be able to tell you.  Old Ben was a match play champion many times and he played in the Open Championship somethign like 30 times, but never won it.
