  1. A 1970 - 80s Corvette will cost you tens of thousands of dollars, a Mustang at least $ 5000 and up!  Then you need to restore it.  Start small!  Think Honda Civic!

  2. If you can find a 70s or 80s mustang or corvette, with only 70K on the ticker, you will have a car that is priced pretty high, or in terrible condition

  3. Get a GEO.

You'll buy it for less than a thousand dollar.

Put in less than $10,000 in electronics and batteries.

They regularly sell on ebay for $50,000.

  4. If taken care of, these cars will hold their value, possibly even gain in value.

You must keep them well maintained.  Never drive them in the snow.  Avoid driving in the rain.  If you live in the north, wait until a couple of good hard rains in the spring to wash the salt off the road.
