  12. I am not good at matching names, but here are some suggestions:

As to how can a surname be "old-fashioned", it is simple:

E.g., Smith used to be Smythe, White used to be Whyte, etc. Most old surnames have either changed or become extinct; most names nowadays were "invented" recently.

    Hope this helps...

  13. Douglas is old, as well as Campbell.

  14. Sorry but how can a surname be 'old-fashioned'?

  15. Hardman......Porter......Montgomery !!!!

  17. Sutton

  18. A surname can't really be old fashioned. But some have a strong link to an era in the past. Here are some super-wealthy families from the late 19th and early 20th century, authors from past eras, and literary names:

Vanderbilt, Hemingway, Carnegie, Gatsby, Hayes, Hearst, Copperfield, Fitzgerald, Rockefeller

But, if you're using the name for your own story, these might be too familiar. Consider making up a name that has a similar sound to a famous name that you like.
