Olevia LT37HVS HDTV LCD: pulsing screen

Question

Suddenly one evening the screen of my 37" Olevia began pulsing like a laser at a late 60s rock concert. It does this even when disconnected from all electronic signlas such as DVD players, cable box, whatever. Is this fixable? Is it going to be expensive? Is the unit history?
