Olympus Water-proof camera?

Question

I just recently got an Olympus water-proof, shock-proof camera, and I don't quite trust the fact that it is water proof...I know it says it is, but you know if could be false, and I don't want to take the risk, and if I do and I destroy my camera, and my camera is ruined then that would be bad..SO if you could please tell me if it is ACTUALLY truely water-proof or not, that would be great!

All the reviews say the camera is waterproof, and if they say its waterproof and its not, then any water damage should be completely covered by warranty.

i actually just got one yesterday. the olympus stylus 850 sw to be exact, and i tested it in water, and it works great!!

just make sure to dry it completely before you open any latches, like the battery compartment for example.

if it is damaged in water it would be covered, just as long as your in the range that it says it is water proof up to.
