Omusubi seasoning (onigiri) HELP!?

Ok well I finally got a rice cooker and one of the things I really wanted to make was japanese rice balls (onigiri). Well I got the japanese short grain rice, omsubi seasoning in a packet like this ( http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=5234 ), and salt,nori etc.. but I wanted to make the whole packet of omsubi seasoning and I dont know how much rice to use!!! I know how to cook the rice in the rice cooker and everything but how much rice will make a whole packet of omusubi? thank you for you help

  1. It says for 1 packet to use 5oz. of cooked rice.

    4oz. = 1/2 cup so 5oz. is just a little bit more than that.

    1 cup of uncooked rice = 3 cups of cooked rice

    So for 5oz. of cooked rice, you would need 1.65 2oz.of uncooked rice to make to make this portion size when you cook the rice. That's basically 3 1/3 Tbsps of uncooked rice.
