My local nurseries have not offered the best selection of plants and flowers this year. The ones they do have look unhealthy. Does anyone know of some good online stores?

Thanks in advance.

  1. lots of sites these are a few examples

  2. Laurie, You know  for the first time in my extended life I bought my plants in the form of plugs from a mail catalogue company. I dont think it was a good idea, I have not been so disappointed with results, as I am with these plants, and they all arrived rather late for timely planting. In future I will do as I have always done in the past, go to the best garden centre and labouriously select what I think are the best . I agree with you, I have seen in many nurseries, the most pathetic looking plants being offered at premium prices. Online garden stores, I've not seen or been recommended one yet. I you find one let me know.

  3. I took a chance last January and bought spring foilage through QVC.  They were selling the product of Cottagefarms.Com or Cottage Farms Direct.  I've been pleasantly surprised.  I ordered several hydrangea bushes and 1 hydrangea tree, all of them doing wonderfully.  I also bought a bi-colored cascading rose tree, which has blossomed awesomely.  When the product was shipped to my house (at planting time) there were full instructions.  The best in your planting quest.
