On power on, there are

On power on, there are two beeps. Then, almost immediately, "Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive" is displayed. That's as far as she goes. Is there any way to recover from this short of a new chio - I don't think this m'bd has a removable one. Any help will be appreciated.lou
