Once I set my iphone

Question

once I set my iphone to retrieve emails from work and my yahoo account, how do i keep someone else from picking up my phone and readimg my emails from both accounts. I know there is a number code that you can put on your iphone, but isn't there a way that my passwords to both accounts will have to be keyed in before reading my emails?
