Online Free Anti-Virus?

I have a Mac Book Pro and OSX. I recently got a message from Safari that my Mac is infected and directed me to a website for free anti-virus.

The url is webscannerfreever.com. Is this safe?

Tucows is your friend when you are on mac.

Go there and get some malware / spyware removers.  Look for antivirus while you are at it but NEVER trust anything that redirects your browser to an antivirus website for you.  99.999% spam and / or spyware...
