Online genealogy resources for Italy?

Can anyone recommend good online resources to trace back ancestors in Northern Italy? I can't find much online for that country, unlike most other European countries. Thanks

***Several different ideas.

One, try Cyndi's List for Italy.  there are a lot of links there.  Perhaps one or two might help you.

Two, I found a site full of links for Northern Italy:

Try that and hopefully, there are several that will help.

Three, not to be sounding like a broken record, but why don't you try Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness to see if there is a volunteer in the area you are researching.  They are always happy to help others.
