Only audio.. no video?

Question

okay EVERY single file i download or import or anything does not work if it is in AVI format. It will play the audio only and the screen will remain black. on media player, zune player and in the movie making programs.. help?

Download and use power dvd, it plays perfectly.

Ur player is an old version and does not have latest codecs to play file. .avi format is a dvd file. media and co. play mpg, mpeg and some other formats.To make file play with media player, download a video convertor from www.download.com and convert video to mpeg format. This will surely play
