Open ended questions model?

Does anyone know if there is a model for open ended questions as opposed to questionnaires where a significant test is done t, z, chi-squared?

Any sites or models would be greatly appreciated

i don't understand your question completely...but the only answer i can thing of is that the answers to the open-ended questions should be coded, and entered as such in the database. whether or not you can perform these tests depends on the type of variable measured. you have to be very careful which tests you apply, because different types of variables support different types of tests.
