Optimum or Verizon??? ?

Question

My dad has decided to try optimum - which is 29.95 each for phone, tv, and internet...we recently changed from verizon which has the same plan for $94 for all three things- which is like the same price for optimum . i was wondering which one is a better service and why.. btw were getting optimum next week so I'm not really sure

I swtiched to the Optimum triple play a couple of months ago.  I liked Optimum because you aren't paying extra to get the HD channels.  The telephone has been flawless.  The only problem I had was that I had two of their DVR boxes fail back-to-back.  I bought a cheap UPS for it and haven't had a problem since.  I believe the DVR boxes are very susceptable to power glitches (there's a hard drive inside).  No problems with the non-DVR boxes.  No problems with returning the broken boxes to their walk-in centers.  Recommended.

optimum i have it its so much faster than verizon online, better channels for tv and more phone features for free.
