  1. The issue with butter would be the likelihood of rancidity- Smelling like bad butter isn't in anyone's beauty regime- Have you tried unrefined coconut oil? I'm very sensitive and coconut oil seems to work well for me.

  2. I would also suggest trying virgin coconut oil also. Mineral oil is out of the question for skin anyway to be honest with you as it is artificial, being a by-product of the petroleum industry. If you find you just cannot use oils then you could always use aloe vera gel as that has excellent moisturising properties and is non-oily. There are lots of other oils you could try also that are not nut related such as rosehip oil, seabuckthorn oil, neroli oil, apricot kernel oil, and sesame oil. All have excellent moisturising properties. This product might give you some ideas for making a cream:

Advocado is also a great moisturiser. You could make a nourishing face mask using advocado, and probably some honey as this also moisturises and tightens pores.

Any face cream you make could also incorporate aloe vera gel.

Butter is not a good idea as it does go rancid fairly quickly. You could try shea butter or cocoa butter as these have excellent moisturising properties and will not go rancid.

    Best wishes.
