does anyone know the origin of the last name Masonius?

If you descend from Frank Masonius of Brooklyn, you're Polish/Lithuanian. For much of the last 200 years, Lithuania was part of Poland so sometimes it's hard to separate the two. But the suffix -ius is extremely common in the area where Poland and Lithuania meet.
