  1. no they won't be fine. Oscars live best in 80 degrees. If you put them in a pond they will be introduced to all kinds of parasites and bacteria. please dont do that. delaware is like wisconsin it gets below 0 in the winter time they will die. go buy an inexpensive tank from yard sales, craigslist, secondhand stores. . just set up another tank or try selling some to your local pet shop. tank size also depends on how many fish you are putting in to this new tank and how big the fish are.

  2. As long as you heat the pond in the winter they will be fine.

  3. Hello fellow Cheddar-head....Unfortunately here in Wisconsin our winter months will kill your oscars, if you really want to put them into your pond, invest in a heating system that will keep it at 80 degrees throughout the year.....if you can afford the bill for that....oscars in a pond like that would be an interesting pond!! If you do decide to pond them, treat the pond regularly for parasites. Do your research, join pond communities and learn from others who have ponds.
