Ouija Board question

Question

What do you think about it? real or fake?

I've never played and a friend of mine wants to bring the board to a party i've having soon

People I know have played before and nothing bad has happened to them...but there are risks

so i'd like your opinions on it

Yes, the Ouija Board exists, so in that aspect they are real. Are they real concerning the supposed supernatural occurrences they are associated with? No.

The only danger that will come from playing with a Ouija Board is if you throw the plastic piece at someone, beat them with the board, or get a paper cut from the cardboard. They are as life-threatening as a box of Captain Crunch.

The company also sells Monopoly, you really think they would be able to sell this product without getting sued if it really had the ability to harm people? They are being sold because there is no harm.

The Ouija Board is associated with evil due to the fact that it was a tool used in divination. The Bible clearly states that to perform divination, is wrong:

"When you come into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of the peoples there. Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, nor a fortune-teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells, nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead. Anyone who does such things is an abomination to the LORD, and because of such abominations the LORD, your God, is driving these nations out of your way."  -- Deuteronomy 18:9 - 18:13

Overall, there is no danger in the Ouija Board, unless you are a Christian. The Ouija Board is fueled by the Ideomotor Effect, nothing supernatural in any form whatsoever.

About Ouija Boards :

The are used to connect with the passed away ,You place a small cup on the middle of the board . The board will have Numbers (bottom half) and letters (top half) you simply ask a question and wait for the cup to move also in the middle of the board it will say yes and no . Some people say the passed away go into the cup and that is how it moves . Other place fingers on it to allow the passed away to move it through them .

Bad Things :

Some people say its wrong to mess with a Ouija Board unless you are using it for the real use 'communicating with the passed away' so playing with if for fun will bring real trouble . Oujia Boards are believed to contact anyone around the person using it at the time . If bad ghosts are picked up and contact you , they are know to refuse to leave and will stay in the home where it is being used . To haunt anyone around them .

Good Things :

If you are a ghost whisperer or medium its good to learn about them with it . Its the first step to realy talking with the dead .  Good ghosts may also stay in the home but corse no problems .

Battery Boards :

Dont use them . Anything needing Batterys is fake and it can move when it wants .

Normal Boards :

Use these . Only force of  touching it can move it .

Suggestion :

Use it . They are truly amazing , Dont put your finger on the glass and watch it move on its own . Remember messing with them can be big risks

Ouija Boards are believed to be an external connection between u and the astral plane (psychic plane where all the ghost live if you u see it that way) basically an Ouija board has no true connection to anything unless u believe it does, just like everything in the world if u don't believe u don't receive, Ouija boards were used alot back in its day to make a stronger connection for psychics they are no more dangerous then what u believe they are.

If you don't feel comfortable using one i don't suggest you do.

dont let her bring the Ouija Board into your house. its not a game, its messing with spirits and demons. too many things have gone wrong with Ouija Boards. people have had there souls stolen and lots of other bad things. Ouija is not a game, it is the matter of life or death, or the matter of letting demons  in your house. it is also witch craft, so i advise you not to let her bring Ouija Board in to your house, or believe me, youll suffer consequinces

There are no risks attached to using a ouija other than scaring yourself a little if you allow yourself to believe such things, but there really isn't anything to worry about.  The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It is meant for two or more players so it will not work very well if you try to use it alone.  It has no supernatural powers.  The people using the ouija board make it work through ideomotor movement.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards and how to use them.

1. Has anything seriously bad ever happened to anybody while using it?

2. How can you play it safely and avoid contacting "evil spirits" and having bad things happen to you?

1) not really, though my sister and a friend levitated the entire table while using a board once...and it was the LAST time she ever messed with anything "magical".

2)First, you have to believe in the spirits to "contact" them.

3) absolutely not!! it's a "what if" game and nothing more. Your OWN psychic energies are what moves it, not the spirits.

The future is not written and at best, it will answer in the form of "what will happen if I continue on this EXACT course my life is on at this VERY MOMENT?" which, of course, is impossible to do.

4) nope, it don't happen

5)there is no "proper" way...Spirits do what they will and most don't even realise you are there.

6) no it will not because it does not have the "power" to control the spirits that your mucking with have disturbed.

7) no clue, it would depend on the spirit. some get upset just by you trying to contact them.

A) yes, they do and you can upset the spirits by messing with one.

A) it works on your personal energies to control the movement. It works rather like "WISH" crafting. Your thought and desire to have a certain answer is focused to your hands which control the device to move in a desired pattern.

10) so if it's really me doing it, how can it contact spirits?

A) ANY time you use your inner energies controlled by thought, you affect the "flow" of energies around you which "spirits" are highly "attuned" to. So, when you muck with magical energies to produce an outcome, you upset the spirits. THAT...is where the problems begin!!!!!!

You have NO protection from what "might" happen because you MUCK with things that should be LEFT ALONE!!!!!

I believe that when you use a Ouija board you open yourself up to the dark side and it opens up the porthole of negative energy and entities.  Not good!!  If you have spirits around you don't know if they are good or evil and I personally would not be willing to take that risk ...too creepy!!

Actually there is definite reason for concern. If the game was played with before it could be dangerous. You can have 9 safe plays with the game. On the 10th question, you will release something into our dimension. That is why there are numbers on the board. They count down.

Please don't play it. It is too risky.
