Ouijia Board.?

What do you think of Ouijia boards. Do they freak you out? Do you believe they actually work?

I have a Ouija board but it is the kind that you can buy from a toy store. No, I don't think they work using "evil spirits" r whatever, but I do think that the players subconsciously move the piece, like you may not mean to but your brain is thinking something and it tells your hands to go there. But some religions are really against them: my friend goes to a Christian school and a teacher told her that Ouija boards are the "devil's toy", but I totally don't believe that.

No, they don't freak me out.  The ouija board is just a game for two or more players. The people using it make it work, so it is best if you play it with people who all know each other well. There is nothing supernatural about it, though it can be scary because it plays on your imagination and fears, and your imagination is powerful and can make you believe just about anything. Well...as a young girl a group of my friends got together and I do remember a couple of strange things happening but they all could be explained. I think it was 9 year old girls being scared as normal kids would be in the dark and they hear a noise.  So no- I don't think they work.

This subconscious behavior is known as ideomotor action--a term coined by William Carpenter in 1882. It is also known as automatism.[4] Some people may be convinced the "powers" of the ouija board are real because they are unaware that they are in fact moving the piece and therefore assume that the piece must be moving due to some other "spiritual force". The subconscious thought process may produce an answer that is different than what the user expected in their conscious thought process--thus perpetuating the idea that the board has "mystical powers".

i had one.it was a glow in the dark one.but i was young and me and my friend didnt know how they work.a ton of people seem to be afraid of them.but im not sure. i wish i had another one.but i dont think they work.maybe the old ones but probably not the new ones.
