My fiance and I are registered at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond but I was wondering if there was anywhere else exciting that we could register

  1. I would scratch the target registry. Maybe switch to Walmart or Sears.

  2. I always recommend two at a minimum, but preferably three so the guests have a variety of places to choose from.

Target and BBB are great places to be registered, but include a major department store like Macy's or Dillards, or a home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowe's. This gives guests plenty of choices and no, I don't think it looks greedy to register at three places (but four places would!), especially if the registry print out is not a gazillion pages long. It just offers choices and ideas should the guest want to get something off registry.

    Hope this is helpful.

  3. I think that two is perfect...I definitely would not register at more than three places.  The two that you picked are, by far, the most popular.

Something you might want to keep in mind:  Target is TERRIBLE about taking presents back with no (gift) receipts.  My husband and I got two of the same thing, and they would not even give us a store credit.  When/if  it ever comes time for a baby shower, I will NOT register there.

If I could do it over, I would have registered mostly at BB&B and then a few things from Macy's.

  4. I think two are just fine. If you are asking for high end items like expensive flatware and china and crystal, by all means go register at Macy's or Dillard's or wherever else you want. If not, I would not bother.

If it were me, now, I would go to the hardware store and ask for a table saw!

  5. You don't want to register at too many places. You will seem greedy, and you might not get the things you asked for.

  6. Kohl's is a great place to register with a lot of great kitchen items from The Food Network.

  7. crate and barrel, macy's, jc penny, ikea

  8. What about a higher end department store?

Target and BB&B are nice for everyday type things, but where I'm from people love to buy you the fancy china patterns and crystal for wedding gifts.

We chose Sears, Macy's & JC Penney because 1 of those three are near everyone.  It was also hard coordinating what was on the list at each store so you didn't accidentally duplicate items between the different stores.
