Now that Mr. Marian Hossa left our little Pittsburgh "bandwagon" everyone seemed to follow. I guess Hossa was the driver? lmao. My point is.....the Penguin bandwagon is back down to normal size again.....no one really cares about us.....AND that's just the way I like it. So, maybe I owe Marian Hossa a 'thank you' card. =b

Here let's half some what of a fun question.........This is all a guess by you......who do you think will have the biggest NHL bandwagon next season?

  1. It's the off-season how many bandwagon fans stick around during the off-season?

Come October/November Pitts bandwagon will be stronger than ever.

  2. WOOHOO! The Bandwagon curse may have left Pittsburgh!! It's halfway back to the way it's supposed to be.....! Thank....satan!! haha

Next season bandwagon.....Rangers......Wings might add a couple to theirs with Hossa in their driver's seat haha

  3. No one left! ... no one cared about Hossa until he came in FEB.... there are still way more PITT LOSER fans than any other team because of Fagsby!

PITT will be and always will be the BIGGEST bandwagon until SID is traded to OMSK for Jagr

  4. This is what I was expecting it seems everyone joined the bandwagon right around the start of the playoffs and now they are gone which is fine with me the majority of the bandwagon fans seemed to only know about what Crosby was doing anyway

  5. I don't agree with your pittsburg bandwagon theory. I don't think Hossa was the driver at all (ever hear of a guy named Crosby or Malkin?).I doubt it's back down to "normal size", It's just the offseason so hockey isn't getting about as much.

    next "bandwagon"team-Phoenix

  6. Lol Nips...Fagsby and the Russian Robin, To the Fagmobile!

Amber, how does Jordan Staal suck? from what I have seen, Staal is a very good two way player, and with age he will only get better, i would love to have Staal on the Wings. That comment makes me believe you are in fact blinded by your #87 jersey. So take that lilac scented Crosby jersey off your head and take a look at what type of forwards stopped the offensive geniuses on your Pens squad.

Pittsburgh will still have the biggest bandwagon in 2008-2009.

  7. Ooooh....I like this prediction question. I would guess....the Blackhawks. They're the ones who loaded up the most so far in the off-season and their youth is a very good base for the future. Some say the Bolts, but I doubt it; they don't even know how important a goalie is.

  8. I don't mind bandwagoners.  They give the team a sellout and make a h**l of a lotta noise.  The atmosphere helps the players, and it's just more fun that way.  Next season my guess is the Red Wings and Caps will have the biggest bandwagons.  Last season the Red Wings had probably the best team efficiency wise that hockey has seen since the lock-out.  They didn't loose anyone important, and they added the best FA winger.  The Caps had a huge bandwagon last year and now the team is gonna be one year better and have the coach of the year for more then half a season.

  9. Well, you still have Crosby, therefore you still have more bandwaggonners than the normal little team. :]

The Red Wings SHOULD have the biggest bandwagon.

  10. I have to say, I like it too. This way, you can tell who is a fair-weather fan and who isn't. (When you send Hossa his 'thank you' card, sign my name too!)

I'm sorry to say this, but I think the Flyers will have the biggest bandwagon next season. Have you ever met a Flyers fan? They're more vicious than a hungry lion!!!

  11. LOL!! yeah it did become pretty big this season! You better hurry up and send Hossa that card! lol

    I say Detroit!

  12. The Penguins! Everyone is still treating Crosby like a God...

  13. With Ovechkin and Jose Theodore on the same team it will be the Washington Capitols with the biggest bandwagon.

  14. lol@Jay .. he may have a point .. the jersey sells itself and the puckbunnies will like that in heels, they are taller than Kane (and tower over Panger as he interviews him)

I hope the CH has a few new fans but I don't want too many people to climb on board as it'd take away from the uniqueness of being the only NHL team in a city where the majority of the inhabitants (AND FANS AT THE GAMES) are Francophone.

  15. It'll probably be Detroit overall.  I'm bracing for the stupidity of the bandwagoners during the season.  "OMG!!!!  StAnLeY CuP ChAmPS!!!!  rEd WiNgS" posts will probably run rampant in early November.

In the East, Tampa has probably gained the most "fans" by hiring the Tennessee Mudflap for a coach and changing half of their roster.

  16. Hey Kate the true penguins fans will remain.  I just needed some time away from the site because there were some ignorant posters slamming the pens, once that died down I came back.  The pens will still be a great team with or without Marian Hossa, I wouldn't be surprised if Marian realized the error in his agent's way.  I would say offhand Chicago or Detroit in the west and Montreal probably in the east.  then when the playoffs are in full swing people will say Pittsburgh gets bandwagon people.

  17. Tampa Bay is looking like bandwagon central.

  18. Well, I live in Toronto so there is no bandwagon here, just a wheel barrel. However in Toronto we don't need the Leafs to win the cup; we can just go to Front St. and Yonge St. to the Hockey Hall of Fame any old time and stare at the cup all day.

But I was very impressed by the Wings play in the post season. They really did kick penguin butt, though not without getting their wings clipped a bit.

I would like to cheer for a team that plays well, a team that deserves my support.  The Leafs certainly DON'T. But I will wait and see how the trades go and then pick a TEAM not a jersey or city to cheer for. I might do this every year for now on or until I move to Vancouver. To me it is the players and team that count, not just the jersey or city.  That is just childish.

  19. I haven't been around lately..uber busy at work and pAArtying..lol

But watch out...the the Satan signing...we'll have little emo kid out the *** on our bandwagon

Well with all those fabulous signings I'd say TBL bandwagon is going to overflow. And if not them, then the Wings wagon will be getting alittle crowded.

  20. The road to success is full of bumps, as you well know. Compounding this problem, people jumping on and off the old bandwagon can take a heavy toll, taking away valuable years of the machine's lifetime, rapidly reducing it's performane. Here at Conman's Muffler & Exhaust, stabalizing the old ride is just one of our many, many specialties. You'll be amazed at the comfort and enjoyment new shock absorbers will bring to you and your loved ones. If you have small children, you absolutely must try our new padded bandwagon seats at premium prices of course. Because we know how much you care for the health and safety of your kids, and since you agree that no price is too large for this feature, h**l, we'll even charge you more.

You say the team still sucks and you want off this banwagon, no problem !!! Just bring in the new one and we'll paint it any colour of red you want, even throw in that winged wheel for a small fee, if you like ( even if you don't like). Because Conman isn't just our name it's our lifestyle.

  21. Well, you also have to consider that this is the offseason, a lot of people will reappear come September/October.

Boomas- Given the way Hossa left, there is no way he comes into Mellon Arena without being booed for the rest of his career.  That will make up for Jagr leaving.

  22. Chicago or Tampa. At least at the start of the season until Tampa learns like the Rangers did that you can't buy a cup.

  23. Kate, isn't it great?

I'm glad all the "fans" decided to jump ship...Still though, I don't blame Hossa at all, but thats just me..

Here's to a great, and hopefully bandwagon-less, season!

  24. the devils...they pracically have the same team as when they won the cup!

  25. Once the season starts and people realize that Pittsburgh didn't lose that much and is still good, your bandwagon will be back.  Sorry, killa.

any good team will have a bandwagon... detroit, chicago, hopefully the rangers. :)

  26. That also means its half full!

  27. Half empty which means Half full..Still too many if you ask me.

The Sharks again will have the biggest bandwagon just ahead of the Pens unless the Pens win 3 in a row then look out.

  28. Not a chance.  I live in Pittsburgh as well, and the bandwagon still remains in Pittsburgh.  I've never seen a city driven to players on their own team.  Now that he plays for Detroit, he's hated.  Being my bf is a Red Wings and Alexander Ovechkin fan, I have to say I am too.  This is another good point, is when a city that I live in still says that Evgeni Malkin is better than Ovechkin.  When people say that Marian Hossa was in FACT hit from behind against the Islanders, when in all reality he was bumped on the bicep and he lays there holding his face like a tool.  When Alexander Ovechkin goes to hit Malkin, but in fact you see him have to jump around a defender only to see Malkin's shoulder in the way.

Pittsburgh is, and always will be, the heart of a bandwagon.

  29. did they really go anywhere Kate?

I mean I still see S/Ns like "Crosby'sHawt" and the plain old "Sidney Crosby" Makes me wanna punch one of these pukes.

The thing I was wondering was, knowing Pit's past history for hating people who leave their city... would they have embraced Jagr is he did in fact go back there (this going by the rumors before he finally signed)

Seeing how thy boo'd him would they have done the sam if he went back there?

    Chuds...

To answer your question.. I think the bandwagon team for this next season is going to be Tampa.

    I can't wait to hear "I've been a fan since day 1"

    yeah right.

  30. If Chicago comes out to a good start, the hype machine will jump all over them. Pittsburgh will still have a great following,

  31. Tampa or Chicago.  Tampa got a lot of good players - Stamkos, Malone, Prospal.  Maybe the Crosby bandwagoners will shift their attention to Stamkos.  Those bunnies only like Crosby because he's a young, rich, famous sportsplayer.  Because really ... hes NOT good looking.  Same goes with Stamkos.  Once he's established his presence in the NHL, the Crosby bunnies are going to jump onto the Stamkos wagon.

And Chicago got Huet and Campbell - So male bandwagoners will jump onto the Chicago wagon, and the bunnies will jump at Pat Kane!
