Oven dosent work?

i have an electric range and the oven stop working the top is working fine but inside the oven is not heating up

Most of the time it is just the heating element in the oven that has burned out.

Usuall there are 2 elements in the oven. One is on the bottom and heats the box when you use the ''oven'' feature.

The other element is  is on the top and is used when u use the ''broiler'' function.

Usually both of these elements don't go bad at the same time. Try turning on the ''broiler'' and see if the element heats up.

You can get another element at an appliance parts store for 10 dollars or less. Someone around you will know how to change it.

probly something broke in the inside could be commom problem call manufactuer or place or like best buy or home depot

Usually this is an indication of a burnt element. First do a visiual inspection most times a white residue will apear around the break or you will actually see a split. Elements are the most common and least expensive to repair

MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG BEFORE SEVICING THE OVEN

Could be heating element(rare).thermostat/control k***s,timer (most likely).Depending on how old you might want to repair it.Thermostats/control's are fairly expencive but easy to replace so if its more than 10yr.s old or any rust on it(under the burners/top) you might want to replace it with a used one out of your free regional shoping guide(people moveing) /craigs list/freecycle.com.

you need a heating coil,first push it in and see if its loose, if not look in the phone book under appliance parts,take your make and model number with you,or the actual heating unit .it is the metal  coil around the top and bottom. hope this helps!
