Overheated 2000 nissan maxima. please help!?

i have a 2000 nissan maxima, the car overheated and i changed the thermostat and both coolant fans are working in high speed. i bleeded the air out of the coolant system but the car is still overheated in this heat. what else should i check and repair for the overheated car?Thanks.

  1. sounds like you need to try this:

    Stop the car and pop the hood.  Let the pedestrian you mowed down last week out of the fan shroud were he became lodged.  Shut the hood and drive to the police station.

    Or buy a bag of ice and jam it in the radiator. that works for me at mineke.


  2. Is the water pump working?

  3. Before you spend another penny, I would do a pressure test and a block test. Those tests will head you on your way to repair, good luck.

  4. providing a block test passes(don't usually se any head gasket issues on those),the radiator  is restricted. replace and recheck.
