I have been on the heavy side my entire life. I have never been happy with the way that my body works and i constantly made excuses for it when i was younger. I am now 19 and am still extremely disappointed at the way my body looks.i am 5'3 and 140-145 pounds. My stomach is what bothers me the most, i don't mind having a little curve here and there but my stomach needs to go. I have done up to yoga, dance, and fitness training classes at once, and eat a fairly healthy diet. I have been vegetarian for about 5 years. I don't know what to do anymore. I have cut my diet more then in half, and am eating a bowl of cereal and maybe another small meal a day. plus taking vitamins. I drink only water or crystal light, and soy milk with my cereal. I also do an hour of cardio a day. what am i doing wrong, and how long before i see some d**n results. please help.

  1. No don't do crunches.

Crunches are a form of muscular exercise. They build up muscle over fat so it's harder to lose the fat. Do cardio as much as you can. Run, job, etc.

I'm still losing baby weight and my stomach is the hardest area too so if you find out anything that works, let me know lol.

Maybe you're just big boned? Some people, no matter how hard they try, can't get rid of their fat or whatever. I guess it's just not in their nature.

I wish you the best of luck hun.

  2. try to work on your stomach more

like crunches and talk about it with your doctor thell know what to do

  3. Try doing some strength training, it builds muscle and creates tone.  The more muscle you have the more fat your body burns.

Another suggestion is to have five or six small meals a day.  The more frequently you eat, the faster your metabolism goes.  Starving yourself will only make your body hold onto and store fat.

Go see a doctor or a nutritionist too.  You may have a food allergy that is keeping you heavy.

    Good luck!
