Overseas Housing in Germany?

My husband and I are going to be on On-Post Housing in Germany and I heard that you don't have to pay rent but have to pay utility is that true?

Check with the housing authority in the area you are going to be stationed.  To find out the link, you can do a search for the base (ex. Ramstein AFB)  The bases site should have a link to the housing office, with a phone number and hopefully a link to their section and an e-mail.  You need to check with them, different bases in the states are progressing toward where you also pay utilities in addition to your BAH for housing.

It depends where you are being stationed.  When we were in Germany we did not pay anything but that was 3 yrs ago so I am not sure now!!  Best of luck!!
