I'm running a P3 450 processor with 512 Mb RAM on my P2B-S motherboard. Tom's Hardware just published a glowing report of the PowerLeap PL-iP3/T Tualitin upgrade used on rigs like mine.Reading assorted posts on the Web, some folks have had bios problems making this work. PowerLeap and some other posters have said that a bios upgrade available on ftp.asuscom.de takes care of the problem. Any feedback on experience of the PowerLeap package and the bios upgrade used with this board would be appreciated. Also, the P3 450 has 512 MB onboard Level 2 cache. The 1.4 Ghz Celeron has half the Level 2 cache--256 Mb. How much of a performance difference would one see with the Celeron, which many have said is a poor choice in general at a given speed compared to a regular Pentium 3. Does brute speed overcome the cache disadvantage?I use my machine for office applications, with lots of image and database work. No games, though. Thanks,Joe
