I got a great deal on a PDX-4.150($300) Only problem is that the speakers I just ordered are 100rms Infinity Kappa 682.9. Does anyone know any way I can make this work out, or should I sell this amp and buy a pdx-4.100, or try to return my speakers to BeachAudio.com, and find speakers that have approx 172rms, since they have tested this amp and gotten 172rms out of it?If I should get new speakers, what speakers do they have with appropriate rms rating, in a 5x7, and I am looking for top quality, lasting for the next 5-10 years of constant use giving SQ.

  1. dont send them back it is not the end of the world.

if you run the subs in series ie.

    + amp to sub 1

    - on sub 1 to + on sub 2

    - on sub 2 to - on amp.

the amp will see only one speaker rated at 200rms.

by the way what is the PEAK wattage. if you run a sub only 50w over its rms and the peak is more than 200w higher than you could run the sub for years without noticing any reduction in quality.
