Ok well my last period was on June 6th it lasted 4 days. I took positive pregnancy tests and went to the doc on july 28th they confirmed i was preggo and did a ultra sound found the sac but no heartbeat. went back on aug 6th (yesterday) did another ultrasound still no heartbeat but sac did grow a little in that week. Did lab work doc called later that evening said my levels were where they were suppose to be. I go back on friday to see if my levels have doubled in 48 hours like there suppose to do in a normal pregnancy. and we are suppose to go from there. The doctor had mentioned that you can be pregnant and have no fetus in the cell just pregnancy cells (which means the pregnancy had started but no baby formed of it. Has this happened to anyone (or anyone you know) any web sites on this im so scared . This would be num 2 for me and my husband. We have a wonderful 10 month old baby girl. Please only nice comments I dont think my heart can take any rude ones this morning. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!

  1. I think your talking about a possible chemical pregancy. No I don't know anyone who has expierenced this. Here's so Info though http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/chemic...

  2. I'm not sure why the doctor would say this unless you had a miscarriage - but that would've been accompanied by bleeding profusely.

If your HCG levels are normal, that's a good sign that you're pregnant (with the fetus inside!). Also, not hearing a heartbeat means nothing at this stage. When I went to the doctor, they heard no heartbeat, however, the next day I went to the hospital for a blood test and another ultrasound and they heard a nice loud heartbeat.

The technician told me that the machines at the doctor's offices are usually not as high-tech as in a hospital.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood the doctor or if she's a moron (maybe get a second opinion if you can)

  3. It's the first time I heard of this... gd luck.. wish u the best :)

  4. I would go to another dr, I always thought a heartbeat would not be heard until later anyway w/ a stethascope I mean, like 12 weeks or so but I may be wrong. Just go to another obgyn and check it out. Don't mention what your dr said, just see what they say. I hope all is well good luck.

  5. Yes this happened to me.  But my levels where not were they where suppose to be .  I had a sac but nothing ever grew in the sac.  I never started to miscarry so they had to do a D-N-C.  But It sounds like your levels are fine so best of luck to you and my prayers are with you!

  6. Yes tihs happened to me. It is called a blighted ovum.

Here is an article about it   http://www.babycenter.com/0_blighted-ovu...

The good news is thatit isn't likely to happen again and you can try to get pregnant again in about 3 months.

I am sorry if this is what has happened with you.

  7. ultrasounds that early are never good for that reason! the blood work tells you more at that time than the ultrasounds do. Most doctors won't do an ultrasound until AT LEAST 7 weeks for this reason! Most people don't see anything that early.

The normal blood work is a very good sign and if they double like they are suppose to that is an even better sign. Try not to stress out too much just because of the ultrasound. That happens very often when done too early in pregnancy.
