PROBLEM with FOREHAND and BACKHAND(plz help!!)?

when hitting a forehand with the eastern grip, does the wrist pronate after the point of contact? Or does it remain stiff and still throughout the whole shot?

does this also apply to the double handed backhand? does the racquet point of contact have to be perpendicular to the floor?

  1. you know i think it is best if you don't think much about it i mean just feel hitting the ball then you will be able to hit it let your hitting go natural(I'm not a pro but base from my experience)try  hitting it naturally(i don't really know how to describe the feeling but you'll eventually know if it is right)

  2. Your forehand and backhand should have a natural wrist pronation to induce topspin.  If you don't pronate then your shots will be flat and harder to control. Your normal groundstrokes should be swung from low to high with pronation. I would suggest switching to a western forehand grip as the eastern grip requires much more precision to be effective.  If you insist on using the eastern grip, then I would suggest checking out youtube videos of Chris Evert, Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe (all eastern grip players)

    Hope this helps
