PSP SLIM problem?

whenever i turn off my psp from a game, the UMD drive makes this loud noise, like its still doing something, yet the screen's already turned off, Anyone know what could be wrong?

Thats normal

Since you are still in the game it is making its cache in the RAM of your psp.

So when you turn it back on, you can play right away
