One of the most prestigious events on the European Tour, the Lyoness Open is in full swing. The best in the world have gathered at one stage to battle it out for the championship. This event is going to take place at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg,
Austria. The event teed off on the 25th of July and will end on the 28th of July.
Pablo Larrazabal is a player who has unfortunately been a bit unlucky in the tournament. However, he has been playing good. As always, he has shown a consistent game and has successfully impressed the spectators.
The first day was a very impressive one from the Spanish professional golfer. He had a slow start, as he carded just two birdies on the first nine holes. He completely changed his game on the back nine, he played aggressively and that paid off.
On the back nine he carded four birdies, on the tenth, fourteenth, sixteenth and eighteenth hole. The highlight of his game was the eagle that he scored on the thirteenth hole. It was the only one for Larrazabal in the first three days.
These made his score eight-under par after the first round. Larrazabal had a poor second round. On the front nine, he carded only two bogeys. He had a strong start to the back nine, with three birdies on the first four holes
Unfortunately for the Spaniard his birdies were followed by two consecutive double bogeys on the fifteenth and sixteenth hole. He ended the day with another bogey on the last hole.
These made his score four-over par for the day and his total score after the second round became four-under par.
Despite the bad start, Larrazabal made a good come back on the third day. He had only one double bogey and bogey on the day, which came on the first and fifth hole, respectively. He ended the front nine with a birdie.
Larrazabal had a magnificent back nine. He started off with five consecutive birdies, starting from the tenth hole. He carded his last birdie of the day on the sixteenth hole. These made his score four-under par for the day and his total score became eight-under
par.
Larrazabal was tied on the thirteenth spot with three other players and was eight strokes behind the leader of the tournament.
